Fallout Caps - Work in Progress/Prototyping
This project is a work in progress. I'm fiddling with how to apply the logos and how to seal them in. This album is basically just a lot of prototyping to see what works!

Printed out stickers with the logos. I made these logos in photoshop with some help from my boyfriend.

I painted the caps to match the stickers, applied the stickers, then weathered to make them blend together.

While it looked okay I wasn't happy with the clear line where the sticker ends.

I tried adding a clear coat just to see if it would maybe help hide the sticker edge, but it didn't.

I decided to try putting on a coat of resin, since at this point I was just trying to see if stickers were even viable anymore. I propped the caps on chunks of hot glue sticks so the resin could drip off.

In the end I wasn't happy with the resin. It hid the sticker edges decently well, but I think I put it on too thick as it cured with a bunch of imperfections, had a yellow tint, and smoothed out the ruffled edges of the caps. I may try UV resin next time!

Fallout Caps - Work in Progress/Prototyping

Tried to make my own caps from Fallout. Did some testing to see what methods would work best. Work in progress.
